Paint protection film is the easiest margin line to add to an installation shop that does tint. The vehicle is already on the lift, the customer has already accepted the cost of protecting the paint, and the film can be sold alongside a tint package on the same ticket. D75, D80 and D85 use a BASF substrate with a Hankel adhesive and a 3-year warranty. The TOP series uses a Lubrizol substrate with an Ashland adhesive, a double nano-injected top coat for a longer glossy look and hydrophobic performance, and a 5 to 10 year warranty. Elongation and Coating Break
Substrate elongation runs from 230% to 320% and coating break elongation from 108% to 145%. That is the number that decides how much the film stretches around a badge, a handle or a wheel arch before it whitens, and it is what separates a film that installs cleanly from one that comes off in patches.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What thickness should I stock first?
7.5 mil is the volume seller and covers most full-car and panel work. 8 to 8.5 mil is the step up for customers who want more coverage on a high-value panel, and 9.5 mil is the armour grade for the front of a vehicle on rough roads.
Is matte film harder to install?
Slightly, because matte finishes hide defects, so the film needs a cleaner glass and a more careful prep. The TOP-Matt 80 is a 8 mil film with a 320% elongation substrate, which keeps it forgiving on curves.
How long does the warranty run?
Three years on the PPF-D series, five years on the TPU-TOP65 Elite and up to ten years on the TPU-TOP95 Armour. All grades are warrantied against yellowing, delamination and peeling.
Can you supply private label packaging?
Yes. We produce private label and OEM film packages so distributors can put their own brand on the roll. Ask for the packing spec and the carton dimensions for the grade and roll size you need.
